The Federal Aviation Administration said it is investigating after several flight crews received faulty alerts on Saturday of potentially nearby aircraft on arrival at Washington's Reagan National Airport.The FAA said Monday that some of the crews executed go-arounds as a result of the alerts and is investigating why the alerts occurred. There has been intense focus on traffic at the airport after a Jan. 29 fatal collision between an Army helicopter and an American Airlines regional jet near the airport killed 67 people.

Iran's foreign ministry summoned Turkey's ambassador, state TV reported on Tuesday, after Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan warned Tehran against undermining Syria's stability.The Iranian foreign ministry published a statement saying that a meeting took place on Monday between ambassador Hicabi Kırlangıç and Mahmoud Heydari, the Iran foreign ministry's Director General for the Mediterranean and Eastern Europe."The common interests of the two countries and the sensitivity of regional conditions require avoiding wrongful comments and unreal analyses that could lead to differences and tensions in our bilateral relations," Heydari said.

Haredi parties believe Construction and Housing Minister Yitzhak Goldknopf is likely to resign from the government before the budget vote, Maariv reported on Tuesday.In order for Goldknopf to vote against the budget in the Knesset plenum, he would need to resign from his ministerial position in order to return to the Knesset.
